Justina Lewa

Justina Lewa is a legal consultant. A governance practitioner, certified board
evaluator, provisional anti-corruption compliance trainer, Mediator and
Arbitrator. In her past role as a Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of a bank in
Nigeria, she advised on many complex transactions and agreements on
project and asset-based financing, public and private debt equity issues, loan
syndications, Power, Oil & Gas, Mergers and; Acquisitions, recovery of bad loans and employee relations.
She is a recipient of the following awards: General Counsel of the Year 2016
and awarded by ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards, General Counsel of the Year
2017 awarded by Law Digest Africa Awards, Banking and Finance Team of
the Year 2018 awarded by ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards and Corporate Legal
Counsel of the Year 2019 awarded by Trek Africa.
Justina is a member of professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar
Association, NBA Section on Business Law, the Chartered Institute of
Bankers of Nigeria, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
of Nigeria (ACIS), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and Institute
of Directors of Nigeria. She holds LL.B and LL.M degrees from the
Universities of Jos and Lagos respectively and was called to the Nigerian Bar
in 1988.
